- You must be 18 or older to buy rifles and shotguns.
- You must be 21 or older to buy handguns.

Firearm laws vary from state to state. While the federal process is consistent, your state may have additional requirements. Some examples include:

- Permit requirements (e.g., permits to purchase or concealed carry permits)
- Restrictions on specific firearm models or magazine capacities
- Additional documentation, such as proof of residency
- Mandatory training or safety course requirements
- State fees or forms that must be completed during transfer
At Huscarl Arms, we stay up to date on both federal and North Carolina state laws so you don’t have to navigate them alone. If you're purchasing from out of state or have recently relocated, we can help clarify what applies to you.

Finish the our checkout process#
It's important to choose a reputable and licensed gun dealer when purchasing a firearm. Just make sure the seller is licensed and only ships to Federal Firearms License (FFL) holders. If you’re unsure, we can look into the seller for you.
During checkout, the website will ask where your firearm should be shipped for your pickup.
Select a pick-up center#
Because firearms cannot be shipped directly to your home, you'll need to arrange for your online purchase to be shipped to an FFL dealer near you. The dealer will handle the transfer to you after conducting a background check. It's a good idea to contact the dealer before making the purchase to understand their fees and process. When the firearm is ready for collection at your designated FFL dealer, please meticulously inspect it. Ensure that it matches your order and check for any potential defects. If you encounter any issues, do not accept the transfer. We are more than willing to arrange for the firearm's return at our expense. We will also offer you a choice between a replacement or a full refund.

When you accept the transfer, the firearm is deemed used and any required returns or repairs must be handled directly with the manufacturer under warranty. If a return is made to utfirearms.com after accepting the transfer from your dealer, you may be subject to a restocking fee.
